Golden Hands Bridge

Golden Hands Bridge

Renowned for its majestic design and stunning views, the Golden Hands Bridge is a striking structure held aloft by two gigantic hands, seemingly cradling the gleaming crescent-shaped bridge with ease. It’s the star of the show on any trip to Ba Na Hills, promising unparalleled photo opportunities and breathtaking scenery.

Nestled among misty mountains with the endless Da Nang coastline stretching to the horizon, the bridge is said to be particularly stunning at sunrise. Determined to witness this marvel, we rose at 5 am for the first cable car ride from the Ba Na Hills French Village to the Golden Bridge. However, our hopes were dashed by thick mist and fog, obscuring the famous hands and any hint of sunshine.

While it’s recommended to stay overnight at the Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills hotel for a chance to enjoy the bridge before the tour buses arrive, don’t expect solitude. Despite the early hours, the bridge was still bustling with visitors.

On the upside, staying overnight at the Mercure does have its perks. The complex becomes much quieter at night, perfect for exploring the quaint streets sans crowds, even if everything is closed and dark.

While the Golden Hand Bridge is undoubtedly a stunning architectural feat, your experience may be at the mercy of the weather and crowds. Go with managed expectations, and you’ll still find plenty to marvel at in Ba Na Hills.
