Hanno Café

Hanno Café

While searching for cafes in Sapa, I saw this cute little cafe situated on top of a hill and decided to check it out.

As we climbed the hill, we were filled with excitement at the prospect of discovering a hidden gem with a breathtaking view. But, it turned out to be quite the opposite!

We were disappointed to find that there was no panoramic view. Whether it was due to overgrown vegetation or some other obstructions, we couldn't fully enjoy the picturesque scenery we had imagined. To add to the letdown, the cafe itself seemed to have seen better days. The signs of neglect were evident, and the pandemic might have played a role in that. It's a shame that such a potentially charming spot wasn't as well-maintained as it could have been.

On the bright side, we did have the whole place to ourselves, which was a silver lining to an otherwise underwhelming experience. There wasn’t much to choose from and we got a slice of Baked Fresh Mango Cheesecake (VND 75,000) and a cup of Iced Vietnamese Coconut Coffee (VND 70,000) to chill.

It's a real shame that this cafe with such a promising location and potential falls short due to its lack of maintenance. If they were to revamp and breathe new life into this charming cafe, it could undoubtedly become a standout destination in the area.
