Umisushi Teishoku — Japanese Set Meals at Woodleigh Mall

I recently checked out umisushi Teishoku at the new Woodleigh Mall.

The star of the show is the Teishoku meals, a traditional style of dining where the mains, rice, side dishes, and miso soup are all served together in a single course; beautifully presented and packed with well-balanced nutrition.

Here’s what we tried:

🍣Salmon Carpaccio

Norwegian salmon with aromatic truffle sauce

🍲Nabe

A bubbling hot pot of fresh ingredients— Norwegian salmon slices, assorted vegetables and mushrooms—in flavourful dashi broth; served with Japanese rice and dessert of the day.

🍜Buta Chashu Ramen (spicy)

A combination of homemade braised pork belly and ramen egg over al dente Hakata ramen in rich and creamy Tonkotsu broth; served with pan-fried pork gyozas.

🍣Aburi Salmon & Cream Cheese Maki

Flame-seared Norwegian salmon atop cream cheese and cucumber sushi roll.

🍢Kushiyaki

All Kushiyaki items are grilled to perfection using homemade Japanese tare sauce.
