The Bravery — Brunch at Amoy Street
After a good 7 years at Lavender Street, @_thebravery_ is newly located at Amoy Street, a short walk from Telok Ayer MRT station.
Housed in a two-storey shophouse, the Muslim-owned cafe boasts a modern and chic interior that exudes stylish modernity with a warm and welcoming vibe. It’s a charming cafe spotting tasty brunch fares, coffee, sweet treats and mains.
From the Breakfast Menu, they serve wholesome options such as:
1️⃣crowd-favourite 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐤 & 𝐄𝐠𝐠𝐬; which features a tender and flavorful grass-fed striploin that’s perfectly seared to medium rare and served with sourdough toast and sunny side eggs.
2️⃣Instagram-worthy 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭; where the sourdough toast spread with lemon and dill cream cheese was generously topped with smoked salmon, ikura and microgreens.
3️⃣Overflowing with confit portobello and a medley of sauteed mushrooms with truffle oil, fans of earthy flavors should definitely try the ‘𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭! The crisp and fluffly house-baked sourdough toast goes really well with the hummus and dukkah!
Apart from brunch fares, @_thebravery_ also offers hearty lunch options such as:
1️⃣ 𝐂𝐨𝐝 𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐞; with cod fillet baked in a paper bag containing fennel, seasonal greens, herbs, microgreens and soy broth. The cod fillet was fresh, tender and moist while the soy broth was really flavorful and goes really well with a hearty and warm bowl of short-grain rice.
2️⃣If you’re looking for a dish with an umami punch, definitely try the 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐨; consisting of al-dente pasta covered in cream sauce and topped with tiger prawns, white clams, crab meat, ikura and drizzled with in-house crustacean oil.
