Cappadocia SG — New Turkish Restaurant at Arab Street

The latest addition to the lively Arab Street is @cappadociasg , a newly opened Turkish Restaurant serving traditional turkish food. Despite @cappadociasg being in operation for only 3 months, it’s crowded with diners enjoying a happy get-together when I visited on a weekday evening.

@cappadociasg pride themselves in serving you the freshest quality food, hence all the food are cooked upon order, resulting in a slightly long wait time. But trust me, their food is worth the wait!

Once seated, we were welcomed with a warm pot of 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐓𝐞𝐚 which resembles a sweet minty tea. Next, we tried the must-have cold appetizer 𝐌𝐞𝐳𝐳𝐚 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫, consisting of 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙨, 𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙖 𝙂𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙝, 𝙈𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡, 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙄𝙣𝙖𝙗 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙙, accompanied with 𝙝𝙤𝙩 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙇𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙. This is my first time trying Moutabel and it’s definitely going into my list of favourites alongside Hummus and Baba Ganoush! The soft, fluffy and warm bread goes so well with the dips!

My personal choice of must-try dish when you’re here is the 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐢𝐝𝐞. Termed as Turkish Pizza, Pide is a flat bread baked with toppings in a stone oven. We tried the 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐛 𝐏𝐢𝐝𝐞 consisting of 𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙗 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚 as well as the 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐮𝐤𝐥𝐮 𝐏𝐢𝐝𝐞 consisting of 𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙨𝙪𝙣-𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙞, 𝙚𝙜𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙨𝙚. A pretty interesting dish to be shared with families and friends!

A dish that you can’t missed out on when enjoying a Middle Eastern meal is Kebab! The 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐛 consists of 𝙇𝙖𝙢𝙗 𝙆𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙖, 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨, 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙆𝙤𝙛𝙩𝙖, 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙏𝙖𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙗, 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙏𝙪𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙙. Nicely seasoned, the meat was tender and juicy while the rice was fragrant and not oily.

Fret not if you think it’s intimidating to order food items that you are not familiar with, because their staff are very friendly! Hit them up for recommendations!
