Hup Hup Mee Siam
Having been around for more than 50 years with carefully curated recipes passed down for generations, @huphup.co dishes are the perfect comfort food on a rainy day, from πππ ππ’ππ¦ to πππ€π¬π and ππ¨π« πππ.
Giving their πππ ππ’ππ¦ a try, I realised their gravy tastes a little different from the usual, which suits my palate really well. Itβs creamy due to the addition of fresh coconut milk and has a strong savoury peanut fragrance. The generous bowl of vermicelli noodles was topped with beansprouts, fried beancurd and a hard-boiled egg on the side. Squeeze a little lime juice into the bowl of Mee Siam for a refreshing lift!
Next, was the steaming bowl of πππ€π¬π topped with cockles, fish cakes and a split hard-boiled egg. The coconut broth was rich and fragrant but I personally wish it could pack a stronger kick!
As for ππ¨π« πππ, the bowl of noodles was drenched in a thick, starchy gravy and topped with a heap of ingredients such as slices of braised pork belly, ngor hiang, fried fishcakes and a split hard-boiled egg. I particularly like the braised pork belly which was tender and flavorful with a firmness to it.
