Malamama — Halal Mala Xiang Guo at Kedai Kopi

📣Attention to all spicy food lovers! Located within @kedaikopisg (Haig Road Outlet), is a Muslim hawker stall @malamama.sg specialising in 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐗𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐮𝐨. I like it that they have a wide variety of fresh ingredients to choose from and at affordable pricing!

The special part about @malamama.sg is that they either deep fry or boil the ingredients before mixing them in a house-special mala sauce. As such, ingredients such as Ring Rolls were super crisp and crunchy!

I find their concept pretty interesting as it’s like mala rojak! I personally find their mala sauce to be quite different from the usual - although it does not have the distinct mala spice fragrant nor the numbness, the sauce was sweet and spicy with the spiciness kicking in after a few mouthful. Super addictive!

Another dish worth trying is their 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭-𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐛 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬. At $9.90, you’ll get 2 crisp soft-shell crabs with a side of golden fries, drenched in mala sauce. This is a good side dish for sharing!
