Kimchi Dining Korean Restaurant Singapore
Located within Orchard Central, Kimchi Dining presents a contemporary interpretation of Korean cuisine, blending traditional fermentation techniques with modern presentation and a polished dining atmosphere.
We tried the Set for 2 (S$55++ per person), and the experience felt thoughtfully curated from start to finish.
We began with the Makgeolli Bread, served warm and softly chewy with a delicate sweetness. The Kimchi Platter followed, showcasing a variety of house-fermented selections. Each had distinct character - balanced acidity, layered spice and enough depth to whet the appetite without overwhelming it.
The Gamjajeon was crisp on the outside with a tender interior, delivering satisfying texture and savoury flavour in every bite. It felt familiar yet elevated.
For our meat selection, we opted for the Arongsatae & Dogani. The braised beef shank (arongsatae) was tender and flavourful, while the sliced beef tendon (dogani) added a pleasant gelatinous richness and soft chew. The dish felt hearty yet refined, with clean, comforting flavours rather than heavy seasoning. It was particularly enjoyable shared, allowing us to appreciate the contrast in textures.
For noodles, we chose the Jeju Pork Noodle. The broth was aromatic and gently robust, carrying savoury depth without overwhelming the palate. The pork slices were well-balanced in fat and lean meat, and the noodles had a satisfying bite. It provided warmth and comfort, rounding out the richer beef course nicely.
We also added the Makgeolli Flight (S$25 with the set) - featuring Fresh Ginseng, Jeju Tangerine, Grapefruit and Apple Cucumber. Each variation retained the smooth, milky character of traditional makgeolli while introducing subtle contemporary infusions. The Jeju Tangerine stood out for its brightness, while the Ginseng offered a more earthy, nuanced finish.
