Third & Sixth Bistrobar — Mama Lucia's Nasi Lemak

𝑺𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒊 𝑹𝒂𝒚𝒂 𝑯𝒂𝒋𝒊 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆!

@thirdandsixthsg is a little bistrobar known for “Burgers, Booze, and Balls-Out Music”. They have recently launched a new concept and is none other than our local favourite, Nasi Lemak! Born out of longing for his mum in Malaysia, 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐋𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐤 is downright simple, honest and so hearty it reminds me of home.

I tried 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐈𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 set, which consists of 𝙉𝙖𝙨𝙞 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙠 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞, 𝘾𝙪𝙘𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙀𝙜𝙜, 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙡, 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜, 𝙄𝙠𝙖𝙣 𝙆𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙜.

For me, the basics of a good nasi lemak is the fragrance and richness of the rice, complemented by shiok sambal chilli. For that, Mama Lucia’s Nasi Lemak definitely makes a good plate of nasi lemak with it’s rich fragrant, light and fluffy basmati rice, complemented by a sweet and spicy sambal.

Moving on from the basics, their sides such as Beef Rendang, Ikan Kuning and Chicken Wing completed the experience. Definitely try their fork-tender and flavorful beef rendang!

Overall, it’s nothing extravagant but a good plate of Nasi Lemak that’s down-to-earth and wallet-friendly. Check @thirdandsixthsg out if you’re up for a hearty and comforting dish that gives you the warmth of home-cooked food.
