Sri Lankan Prawn Curry 🦐

Having first tried Sri Lankan Prawn Curry while visiting in Sri Lanka, the @tastebudz.sg couple fell in love with it and decides to replicate it. After much experimentation with the various Sri Lankan spices, they finally succeeded in getting the same taste!

This is my first time coming across Sri Lankan Curry! I was really excited to try it and omg it’s soooo good that I think I’ll crave for it every now and then.

@tastebudz.sg Sri Lankan Curry is not the spicy type of curry but rather a sweet one and it’s packed full of prawn umami! As there’s no oil or sugar added, the sweetness of the curry comes from the huge succulent tiger prawns and coconut milk. Just look at the size of the prawns and you’d guess that the curry broth tastes fantastically awesome!

You can choose either the basmati rice or bread loaf to go along with the curry. I 100% recommend the bread loaf💯! I have to say I’m truly blown away by the bread loaf! It’s definitely one of the fluffiest and lightest bread I’ve had!! I gave it a slight toast and it’s warm, soft, fluffy, light and crispy - I am sold 🙌🏻! Dipping it into the curry was so shiok!
