The Assembly Ground — New Menu at The Cathay

Situated at The Cathay, @theassemblyground is the perfect meeting spot for family and friends over good food and coffee. They have recently launched new items on their menu, such as:

𝙎𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙇𝙤𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝙋𝙖𝙣-𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙞, 𝘾𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙮, 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙙 𝙒𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙨, 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙀𝙜𝙜𝙨, 𝙁𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝘾𝙖𝙠𝙚, 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙙 𝙋𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙨

I have to say this new creation of theirs amazes me! I thoroughly enjoyed this elevated version of our local favourite Laksa dish. Staying true to the basics of Laksa, the gravy was rich, flavourful and aromatic, while the pasta was al-dente with the crispy wonton skins add a crunch to it. The barramundi and slipper lobster were fresh too.

𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙇𝙚𝙜𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙡𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚, 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙚𝙨 & 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙑𝙚𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙨

You’re in for a surprise with this newly created dish! This dish appears to be rather normal until you cut the tender chicken apart, revealing the generous amount of black truffle paste stuffed within it! Swipe to take a look at the fillings! The chicken was really tender and flavour was good.

🍨𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐨𝐦𝐛

𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙯𝙚𝙣 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙣𝙞𝙚, 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙕𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙑𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙄𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢, 𝘿𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚

The presentation of this dessert blew me away💯! Presented in a way unlike any other brownie ice cream you find in cafes, the looks of it already won me over. I personally find the brownie to be slightly hard and it’ll be amazing if it was more moist and a little softer and flowy with dark chocolate. But nonetheless, it’s a decadent dessert to indulge in after a scrumptuous meal.
