Khao Hom by Rung Mama — Second Outlet at Katong Square

@khaohomsg have recently opened their second outlet at Katong Square🎊!

Made with only fresh ingredients and imported spices and herbs, all the dishes on the menu are true-blue Thai recipes handed down by the lady boss’ mum (who hails from Bangkok aka the Rung Mama herself!)

Here’s what we tried:

👍🏻 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐨 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐠

Smoky, tender, juicy and flavorful - I could say this is one of the best Moo Ping we tried in Singapore!

🐟 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢 & 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐜𝐞

Fish is fresh but I find the flavors to be on the milder end, a bit lacking. I prefer for a stronger, more prominent and robust sauce to go with the fish.

🦐 𝐓𝐨𝐦 𝐘𝐮𝐦 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 (𝐑𝐞𝐝)

Tangy, sweet and midly spicy, this is a comforting and appetising soup to go along with your meal.

🦐 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐏𝐨𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢

Springy and savoury vermicelli paired with fresh and plump prawns. I like how the steel pot keeps the dish warm.

🦀 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐛 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐎𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐞

This is actually my first time trying out this dish. I like how the dish is really simple, allowing the natural sweetness and freshness of the crab to shine in the creamy and silky omelette.
