Din Tai Fung ION Orchard: Outlet Details and Exclusive Dishes
Din Tai Fung at ION Orchard: two exclusive wanton dishes, prices from our September 2026 feature and the outlet address.
Outlet and menu feature · September 2026. This article introduces the ION Orchard branch and its exclusive dishes; it is not a scored, firsthand tasting review.
What is different at Din Tai Fung ION Orchard?
With Din Tai Fung already at Paragon and Wisma Atria, you might wonder why Orchard needs another one. But the new ION Orchard outlet, which opened as Din Tai Fung’s 31st restaurant in Singapore, has a bit more personality than the usual mall branch. The 3,000 sq ft, 100-seat space is inspired by the brand’s original Xinyi Road shop in Taipei, complete with a heritage wall and a recreation of the old “Din Tai Fung Oil Retail” signboard, a nod to the brand starting life as a cooking oil shop in 1958.
Of course, you’ll still find all the classics here, from their signature 18-fold Xiao Long Bao to fried rice and noodles, but there are also two dishes exclusive to ION Orchard.
Two ION Orchard-exclusive wanton dishes
The prices below were stated in our 22 September 2026 post and are not a live menu quote. “++” means service charge and GST are additional.
Noodles with Shrimp & Pork Wantons in Peanut Sesame Sauce — S$14.80++
The noodle dish pairs shrimp and pork wantons with a peanut-sesame sauce. Din Tai Fung describes the sauce as rich, nutty and fragrant. It is the one that most caught my interest in the outlet announcement, rather than a dish I am rating from a recorded tasting here.
Shrimp & Pork Wantons in Spicy Sauce — S$12.80++
The second exclusive pairs shrimp and pork wantons with an aromatic, spicy sauce. It offers a different sauce option alongside the peanut-sesame noodles; confirm the current dish availability and price with the restaurant.
